Lingual Appliances: 

Lingual appliances are fixed braces which are attached to the inside of the teeth so that they can’t be seen. They are difficult to adjust so the results are often not as good as we would expect with fixed braces on the outside. Lingual appliances have not been widely used since clear braces were developed as an alternative.
