Do I need to see my Dentsit first?

We will see you without a referral but if you haven’t had a check with a general dentist over the past year it is probably best to arrange this first.

Most people are referred to us by their dentist and this is a good idea as the teeth and gums need to be healthy to carry out orthodontic treatment. If we see you without a referral, you might need to see a general dentist for some initial work before we can start your orthodontic treatment.

There are many specialist areas and different treatment alternatives in dentistry today. Some problems are best treated with other techniques such as crowns, veneers or implants. Your general dentist can advise you whether orthodontic treatment is best option for you.
